- The position requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
- A minimum of three years of clinical care delivery experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is required.
- Operationalize and transition changes in the care delivery system of a unit or set of units through directing, coaching, support, and delegation to staff.
- Provide clinically safe, fiscally sound, compassionate care and services to achieve safety, patient and family goals, and patient and family satisfaction.
- Assume 24-hour responsibility for the unit's service area and develop a dynamically functioning interdisciplinary team.
- Sustain the daily operational functioning of the units or services area and make immediate modifications to prevent impediments, errors, and delays in achieving goals.
- Execute the units' or services area's Performance Improvement Plan.
- Foster confidence, trust, and collaborative and collegial relationships that generate staff achievement and pride.
- Facilitate interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines.
- Facilitate change through education and demonstrate skill in implementing practice changes.
- Collaborate with the Department of Education and Professional Development and assist with presentations, orientations, and other organization-wide education and training.
- A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- One year of nursing managerial experience is preferred.
