Requirements
- A completed undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or a related field.
- Intermediate English is required.
- Use software applications for packaging artwork production, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Have in-depth knowledge of printing processes and the application of reprographic techniques.
- Adapt a design to different components and sizes while maintaining the design intent.
- Perform color retouching for various printing techniques.
- Make visual changes to images, including cosmetic retouching.
- Retouch and correct colors using spot colors or an expanded color gamut while accounting for the impact of screen angles.
- Retouch and correct colors to ensure an image is suitable for the flexographic printing process.
- Visually inspect two samples and determine the retouching or corrections needed to achieve the closest possible match.
- Interpret complex guidance documents.
- Demonstrate listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Establish relationships at all levels.
- Manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Create final artwork files in accordance with company standard work practices and client brand guidelines.
- Participate in the implementation of new business.
- Ensure quality performance targets are achieved.
- Collaborate across functions to provide customer service.
- Create print-proof files and perform retouching and color corrections for all printing disciplines.
- Own brand guidelines, including their creation, modification, and periodic review.
- Maintain brand consistency across project ranges and production locations.
- Represent the final artwork production team in project planning.
- Lead the artist team in completing projects from receipt of the brief through delivery of data within contractual key performance indicators.
- Identify process optimizations to improve quality and delivery.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead and support production initiatives.
- Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Lead the artist team in implementing technology changes, from user acceptance testing through implementation.
- Guide and advise less-experienced team members.
