  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have ACI Field Grade Testing 1 certification.
  • Must have ICC Master of Special Inspection, including ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC Structural Masonry, ICC Structural Steel and Bolting, and ICC Structural Welding certifications.
  • Must be an active member of Local Operating Engineers 3 union, or may join upon hire.
  • Must have a good understanding of the construction industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other computer software applications for data collection, data entry, and time and expense entry.
  • Must be willing to obtain additional ICC, ACI, AWS/CWI, and NDT certifications.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse environment.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and be resourceful when working alone in the field.
Responsibilities
  • Perform reinforcing steel inspection, concrete placement inspection, and concrete sampling at project sites for structures and walls.
  • Perform additional inspection services when holding applicable certifications, including pre-stressed/post-tensioned inspections, post-installed anchor inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel inspections for bolting and welding, wood framing and nailing inspections, fireproofing inspections, and non-destructive testing.
  • Use a company-provided Surface or tablet computer to provide written documentation of inspections, sampling, and field test results daily.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, city agents, and project managers.
  • Learn and share knowledge with others.
Desired Qualifications
  • College coursework is a plus.
  • ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete certification is a plus, or must be obtained within an agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Other ACI, ICC, DSA, NDT, or AWS/CWI certifications are a plus.
  • Military veterans are preferred.
