Requirements
  • A high-school diploma or GED and one year of related manufacturing or quality experience, or a 2-year technical degree with 0–1 year of related work experience.
  • Basic technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Reading and mathematical skills to use and understand prints, procedures, and instructions.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with measuring devices.
  • Ability to meet minimum physical and mental demand levels with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that parts comply with customer specifications, ISO requirements, and customer component quality requirements.
  • Utilize measuring devices and apply basic mathematical equations.
  • Perform minor product repairs.
  • Ensure product quality and identification information are consistent before shipment to internal or external customers.
  • Label products properly, identify inspection status, and store accepted products according to applicable ISO procedures.
  • Process part requisitions and accurately enter inventory transactions into the computer system.
  • Disposition rejected parts as directed by the materials group or Material Review Board.
  • Perform cycle counting as required to maintain 98% inventory accuracy.
  • Read and follow work instructions and safety procedures, and complete reports and forms.
  • Communicate quality issues within the assigned department and with other departments, maintain logs and reports, and follow up on issues.
  • Perform quality tests and product verification procedures.
  • Recommend modifications to work instructions and assist with training.
  • Initiate ISO quality documentation, including temporary deviations, DVQR change forms, NPMR, and other information-system changes, for approval and follow up as appropriate.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptability to changing business needs, and continued application of new skills.
  • Work with coworkers in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner.
  • Train others on mastered knowledge and skills.
