Requirements
  • Must possess a current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography license and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification, or be ARRT-eligible
  • One (1) year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred
  • Computer literate
  • Will be trained to become proficient in Bone Density (DEXA) scans
  • Must maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass a medical evaluation and respirator fit test
  • Required to wear an N95 particulate filter respirator in accordance with Permanent Employee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (PEOSHA) standards as a condition of employment
  • Annual respirator fit testing required
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic x-ray services to both inpatient and outpatient populations at University Hospital
  • Perform radiographic procedures accurately and efficiently to support interpretation by licensed practitioners
  • Apply professional judgment and uphold a respectful, patient-centered demeanor aligned with the mission and values of University Hospital
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member with patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, and hospital staff
  • Ensure all interactions and procedures follow established hospital policies and professional standards
  • Perform all radiologic procedures in compliance with NJDEP regulations and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles
