About the company

Legora builds an AI-powered, collaborative workspace for legal teams. Its platform helps law firms and corporate legal departments conduct research, review, drafting, and end-to-end legal workflows, all within a workspace that includes firm-specific and jurisdiction-specific context. The product works by providing an agentic AI assistant that can handle tasks across the legal process—research, drafting, reviewing, and workflow orchestration—tailored to each firm’s rules and the relevant laws of different jurisdictions. Legora differentiates itself from competitors by serving a very large existing customer base (tens of thousands of lawyers across 1,000+ organizations in 50+ markets), focusing specifically on legal work, and backing its platform with significant capital and big-name investors to scale its US expansion and its agentic workflows. The company’s goal is to broaden adoption of its AI-powered legal workspace globally and to enable efficient, context-aware legal work at scale.

Sirion and Legora link contract management with legal AI research for in-house teams

Sirion, a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, and Legora, an AI operating system for legal work, announced a partnership on October 14, 2026. It connects the two platforms so in-house legal teams no longer have to move information manually between research and contract systems. Customers can pull Sirion contracts, precedents, and negotiated terms into Legora to generate insights, summaries, and drafts. Within Sirion, users can run Legora research to check contracts against case law, legislation, and regulations. Legora returns cited answers and suggested amendments. Sirion remains the system of record, and its access controls carry over to Legora automatically. The integration will roll out in phases, starting with select beta customers.

Legora CEO: UK stock options make London expansion a 'no-brainer' but Sweden 'almost impossible

Swedish legaltech Legora is expanding in London, with CEO Max Junestrand citing the UK's favourable approach to employee stock options as a key driver. Junestrand contrasted this with conditions in Sweden, which he described as "almost impossible" for scaling companies. The CEO highlighted broader challenges around taxation of employee equity across Europe, stating it makes it "impossible to actually scale here." The comments underscore ongoing debates about how different regulatory approaches to stock options affect where fast-growing tech companies choose to expand. Legora's decision to prioritise London expansion reflects growing concerns amongst European founders about competitive disadvantages created by varying national policies on employee ownership schemes.

Legora acquires litigation startup Wexler in fifth deal since January

Legora has acquired litigation startup Wexler, whose software helps lawyers reconstruct cases from thousands of documents by tracing statements back to source evidence and identifying conflicts. The acquisition marks Legora's fifth since January as it competes with rival Harvey to dominate the law firm market. London-based Wexler had raised $7 million and secured clients including HSF Kramer, Goodwin Procter, and Clifford Chance. The company claims its software cuts manual document review time by 75 per cent. Wexler cofounder Gregory Mostyn said the startup wasn't seeking a sale but chose to join Legora's platform of over 1,500 customers. Legora was valued at $5.5 billion in March, whilst Harvey is worth $11 billion. The deal reflects consolidation in legal tech as law firms select long-term software partners following years of testing chatbots and other tools.
