Epiphany School provides tuition-free education for children from economically disadvantaged families in Boston, supported entirely by philanthropy. It runs an 11-month program with a 12-hour day, offering three meals daily, counseling, tutoring, and an Early Learning Center from prenatal development, plus a Graduate Support Program that mentors students through high school, college, and beyond. It differentiates itself by relying on donations for all services, offering lifelong alumni support and an after-school, wraparound model that combines academics with family stability and teacher fellowships to grow urban educators. Its goal is to lift families out of poverty by delivering sustained academic and personal development that promotes educational equity in Dorchester.
