Requirements
  • Ability to drive analytics projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for developing strategic frameworks and thinking critically with data
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Proficiency in one or multiple BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Proficiency in Python or R is a plus
  • Previous experience in strategy consulting and/or a marketplace or ecommerce business is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Build frameworks for understanding platform dynamics and educate company leaders on enhancing business performance
  • Partner with User Research, Marketing Insights, Product, Marketing, Sales, and more to build a holistic understanding of business challenges and opportunities
  • Deliver analytical insights that drive changes in company strategy using SQL, Looker, Python, R, and/or other scripting and statistical tools
  • Define customer segments to enable more targeted strategies and interventions by functional partners
  • Present insights and recommendations in key meetings and business reviews with senior leaders across Upwork
  • Perform deep dive analysis to identify blockers for our business as well as top opportunities for achieving our strategic goals
