Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of eight years of successful pharmaceutical, biologic, biotechnology, or medical device sales experience, including a minimum of five years of specialty sales experience.

  • Ability to drive product access, acceptance, and usage in targeted academic accounts and understand process flow for intravenous and subcutaneous products to ensure ease of access and fulfillment.
  • Ability to create, implement, and evaluate strategies to develop fellows, residents, and key opinion leaders within assigned institutions.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate effective business plans for each assigned institution.
  • Ability to champion collaboration across the marketplace, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to maintain call reporting, safe-driving, expense-accounting, and written and oral communication responsibilities, including representing the company at scientific conventions and conducting educational programs.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales goals for the Immunology portfolio by delivering market share growth and other key metrics within the assigned geography and executing franchise and company brand strategies and tactics for the assigned customer segment.
  • Influence decision makers and influencers within the assigned customer base to support the use of company products by applying clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
  • Develop and deliver targeted sales messages based on accurate clinical information, use approved medical reprints to support the case, and discuss therapeutic strategies.
  • Execute local marketing strategies, leverage resources appropriately, and collaborate with company team members and counterparts to improve business results and customer loyalty.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision makers who influence decisions within local healthcare provider systems.
  • Gain access to promoted products and sell them in targeted Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Dermatology teaching institutions, hospitals, and clinics.
  • Establish mutually beneficial, long-term business relationships with residents, fellows, attending physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare providers within targeted institutions.
  • Coordinate academic sales strategies with appropriate teammates to maximize sales within assigned institutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of reimbursement, payer, provider, and infusion operations.
  • Working knowledge of immunology and/or gastroenterology.
  • Prior experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
  • Prior Management Development courses.
  • Experience in project-oriented selling situations within a high-incentive, individual-performance culture.
  • Documented successful sales performance, including high growth and results versus plan.
  • Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time.
