Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Prior work experience as a licensed Radiographer.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors, and hospital team members.
  • Must hold ARRT registration in Radiology.
  • Must hold a Massachusetts state license in Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Must work Monday through Friday, day shift, under a licensed CT Technologist for 40 hours per week during the 16-week Clinical Training Program.
  • Must be able to perform the position's duties and meet its physical and mental requirements, including anticipated contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials and working in an area with radiation exposure.
  • Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Greet, escort, assess, educate, and identify patients, helping them feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
  • Complete CT examinations according to established protocols set by the CT Radiologist.
  • Enter examinations correctly and ensure accurate, informative documentation and appropriate charges.
  • Electronically send and store images and data appropriately in PACS.
  • Maintain departmental records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Clean equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Become familiar with supply and equipment issues to support optimum operations, equipment quality, and long-term equipment maintenance and life.
  • Transport patients and provide ambulatory assistance as necessary.
  • Inform patients and family members throughout the patient experience.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team using established handoff procedures and give and accept respectful feedback to support teamwork and the clinical training experience.
  • Help minimize preventable harm events, execute infection-control protocols, use Culture of Safety tools in daily practice, adhere to quality and safety guidelines, and communicate near-misses or potential risks.

Beth Israel Lahey Health rolls out Heidi's AI scribing to all physicians after 90% report better patient presence

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
