London Borough of Harrow

View

The London Borough of Harrow is a local government authority in northwest London that provides education, social care, housing, waste management, planning, libraries, parks, road maintenance and other public services to about 263,000 residents. Services are delivered by municipal departments and teams funded through Council Tax and government grants, with annual balanced budgets and transparent spending reports. It differentiates itself through a formal Leader and Cabinet governance model with clearly defined portfolios and a broad, integrated suite of local services tailored to a dense urban borough, with a strong focus on housing and social care demand. Its goal is to deliver statutory and discretionary public services effectively, keep the borough clean and safe, and support residents in need while maintaining financial sustainability.
