Requirements
Previous experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in medically needy and underserved communities is preferred.
A valid California license as a Physician Assistant, or Registered Nurse licensure and California Board of Registered Nursing certification as a Nurse Practitioner, is required.
Nurse Practitioners must have a furnishing number.
An unrestricted DEA license and an NPI number are required.
Physician Assistants must possess or be eligible for certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; Nurse Practitioners must possess or be eligible for American Association of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurses Credentialing Center Board Certification.
A current BLS certificate is required.
A current ACLS certificate is preferred.
A current PALS certificate is preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform routine administrative and clinical responsibilities as a clinic medical provider.
Use knowledge of office systems, procedures, clinic and hospital regulations, interdepartmental functions, and insurance standards and procedures to facilitate patient services in a primary care clinic.
Work directly with department managers to assist with developing and instituting policies and procedures that affect the clinic.
Participate in team meetings, committees, and special projects.
Maintain applicable licensure and job-description requirements.
Improve skills and abilities through self-education or attendance at training programs.

Position Overview:

Requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:

Licenses/Certificates:
Possession of a valid California license as a Physician Assistant OR Registered Nurse and Certification by the state of California, Board of Registered Nursing, as a Nurse Practitioner;
