About Harry’s
Harry’s Inc. started in 2013 with a specific goal: disrupt the shaving industry by creating an innovative, everyday product at a fair price. Since then, Harry’s has expanded to Canada and Europe, developed relationships with retailers such as Target and Walmart, expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse, launched two new brands including Flamingo and Cat Person, and made our first brand acquisition with Lumē.
The key to our success? Our amazing people. From chemists, mechanical engineers, CX associates, to creative directors, sourcing managers, and logistics specialists, the Harry’s team is composed of some of the most brilliant, diverse, and humble people you’ll ever meet.
Our brands answer unmet consumer needs, but our company is a place of inclusion and innovation that attracts some of the brightest minds across industries, geographies, and backgrounds. Whether we have a team of 5 or 500, our core values and our startup mentality remain; we value continuous improvement and learning, teamwork and collaboration, creative problem solving, and open and direct dialogue and feedback.
Harry’s is operating as a hybrid-first environment - for us, that means that we ask folks to come into our beautiful, 88,000 square foot SoHo office a minimum of 2 days per week, with flexibility to choose exactly which days work best for you. What will you get out of that? Bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday. Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom (remember what 2019 was like?)
About the Role
The Executive Assistant will serve as a crucial partner to the executive leadership team for the Global Product organization. You’ll support three executives and manage everything from calendar and travel arrangements to running special projects over time. This highly organized, endlessly resourceful person will ensure the team operates at its best and nothing falls through the cracks.
The EA role is one that doesn’t always neatly fit within the 9-5 day, so we’re looking for a go-getter who’s eager to be flexible and available, even outside traditional working hours. Because the role (and our exec team) is so dynamic, this person must possess strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions, internally and externally. Our ideal candidate is someone who is interested in growing in this role for at least 2 years.
What you will accomplish:
-
Expertly manage day-to-day scheduling, coordination, and meeting logistics, providing best in class support; often with little oversight and making judgements based on known priorities of the business
-
Anticipate needs and identify problems proactively, looking around corners for solutions and using existing resources in problem solving
-
Manage and lead projects and critical initiatives that directly ladder up to team and business priorities
-
Coordinate intuitive travel itineraries for your team trips in the US and abroad
-
Ensure team is prepared for professional meetings and events, by soliciting agendas, drafting prep docs, creating itineraries, making reservations, printing material, and going above and beyond to ensure effective preparation
-
Interact regularly and build relationships with executives and colleagues across various teams
-
Be a positive ambassador by consistently acting in a way that leaves people with a positive perception of the company while truly embodying our values
This should describe you:
-
You have 1-3 years of professional experience: and you have interest in growing as an EA over the next 2 years with a desire to take on increasingly complex projects across the organization
-
You’re uncommonly detail oriented: You never let anything fall through the cracks. You close every loop, spot every error, and look around corners to make sure every detail is perfect.
-
You possess foresight: If you had a superpower, it would be the ability to see (and plan) around corners. You know there’s a problem – and you know how to fix it – before anyone else. When you finish a task, you ask yourself what else could make the outcome even better - planning for every scenario and leaving no stone unturned.
-
You’re an excellent communicator: You can communicate nuance effectively to anyone, modifying your tone based on whom you’re speaking to. Regardless if it’s an email, a phone call, or in person, you get things done by clearly and professionally expressing yourself.
-
You’re open to giving and receiving feedback: Feedback is core to Harry’s values. You lead with kindness and proactively offer, listen, and have direct dialogue daily to improve yourself, your team, and the company. You also receive feedback with curiosity - seeking to understand other perspectives, and incorporate feedback and input into your work moving forward.
-
You’re resilient: in the face of challenges and obstacles, you remain steady and agile, energized to solve any problem. When you are stuck, you collect yourself, define the problem, and find the right support to help you out. There’s no sticky situation that you can’t wiggle your way out of, always coming to the table with solutions.
-
You’re hardworking: You are endlessly reliable, credible, and consistent in your ability to produce the highest quality work, even outside the confines of a 9-5 job when it’s vital.
Here’s who you’ll work with:
-
Reporting to the VP of Global Technology and Manufacturing as well as directing supporting the VP of Global Engineering and the Chief Commercial Officer for the personal care business
-
You’ll work on the Executive team, in close partnership with partners from across the company
