Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development credential.
  • At least five years of experience in the mechanical industry, or completion of a Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee apprenticeship program with at least five years of experience in a leadership or foreman role.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 certification.

Responsibilities
  • Review all project documents to understand the full scope of the contract.
  • Plan and execute all work required by project documents.
  • Maintain and adhere to project schedule, budget, and safety requirements directed by the Project Manager.
  • Plan manpower and equipment delivery needs.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and business associates.
  • Conduct flex-and-stretch activities with all crew members.
  • Plan each day's tasks.
  • Supply the tools and equipment necessary to complete daily tasks.
  • Work with Field Operations and the Project Manager to select manpower for the project.
  • Resolve issues that arise in the field and shops.
  • Schedule shop and warehouse deliveries as needed.
  • Identify and address safety issues in each work area.
  • Complete safety observations as required.
  • Coordinate with other trades on the project.
  • Complete three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox talks with all crew members.
  • Develop the completion list and minimize return work.
  • Update as-built drawings.
  • Submit payroll time through Crew Connect every day.
  • Attend project coordination meetings as required.
  • Review the overall job plan and revise it as needed.
  • Review the schedule delivery calendar and revise it as needed.
  • Review the previous year's project and safety performance.
  • Set and define goals for the upcoming year.
  • Complete continuing education required by the collective bargaining agreement and the employer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • United Association 40-hour Foreman Certification.
  • Industry certifications in welding, brazing, medical gas, or related areas.
  • Willingness to travel out of town.
  • Professional appearance.
