Requirements
- Zero to three years of experience in educational counseling, academic advising, inside sales, or student relationship management.
- A basic understanding of the information technology sector, software development job roles, and technology training trends is preferred as a major plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil are required to interact with students and parents.
- Active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust and persuade effectively are required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and standard customer relationship management software or educational technology tools is required.
- A bachelor's-level graduate qualification is required; eligible backgrounds include B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc. in Computer Science, or BCA.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized one-on-one and group counseling sessions to understand students' academic backgrounds, strengths, and career aspirations.
- Interact with walk-ins, inbound telephone inquiries, and digital leads to explain course curricula, placement opportunities, and value propositions and drive enrollments.
- Assist students through registration, batch scheduling, and enrollment processes.
- Work closely with the technical training and placement teams to ensure a seamless transition from counseling to classroom learning and final job placement.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student interactions, follow-ups, and enrollment pipelines using customer relationship management software.
- Stay updated on current information technology industry trends, high-demand technology skill sets such as full-stack development, mobile application development, and cloud technologies, and competitor offerings to counsel students effectively.
