Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong foundation in engineering first principles and practices
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Embedded Coder
  • Experience with source control systems such as git, svn
  • Experience with electric vehicle technology, and high voltage systems
  • Experience with CAN monitoring tools such as CANalyzer, BusMaster, or similar preferred
  • Understanding of Classical / Modern Control theory techniques such as PID, State Space representation, state observers, kalman filter, linear quadratic regulator
  • Understanding of embedded systems and constraints on
Responsibilities
  • Develop software algorithms in Simulink & Stateflow
  • Create physical models in SimScape to represent vehicle components and systems
  • Perform Model-In-The-Loop simulation tests for validation of control algorithms
  • Build Algorithm code using code generation tools
  • Debug issues in implemented code found in simulation testing or in-vehicle testing.
  • Use vehicle communication instrumentation to root-cause issues identified
  • Assist with hands-on evaluation of controls performance in bench setups and in-vehicle
  • Software Requirements authoring and decomposition of system requirements
  • Develop fault detection for loss of communication or I/O
  • Develop fail-safe strategies for algorithms in response to detected faults
