The Springs Living and pointclickcare to co-develop connected Senior Living technology, designed with frontline teams and built to scale.

The Springs Living and pointclickcare to co-develop connected Senior Living technology, designed with frontline teams and built to scale. Oct 20, 2026, 09:00 ET Partnership brings PointClickCare directly into The Springs Living communities to build technology that reduces the burden on care teams and seamlessly connects senior living and healthcare around the resident PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - The Springs Living and PointClickCare, a leading health tech company helping providers deliver exceptional care, today announced a strategic co-development partnership to design and implement new technology that connects senior living and healthcare around residents in their homes. The partnership marks PointClickCare's first direct co-development relationship with a senior living operator. PointClickCare is working directly alongside frontline teams in several of The Springs Living's Oregon communities, who are helping to define and shape what gets built, tested, and implemented. The collaboration will shape the next generation of PointClickCare's purpose-built senior living platform while providing the technology foundation for community teams within The Springs Living's recently announced partnership with SCAN Health Plan in Oregon. The new value-based care model pairs The Springs Living's expertise with a Medicare Advantage plan, creating greater shared accountability for resident health and wellness outcomes in participating communities. This increases the need to connect what happens every day in a resident's home with the healthcare services that support them, putting the resident at the center of how services are coordinated with their community team and healthcare partners. The capabilities the teams build together in these communities will become the blueprint for senior living, setting a new standard for how care and wellness is coordinated around the people who live in these communities. Starting With the People Closest to Residents Consider a team member who notices a resident is quieter than usual at breakfast. On its own, it may seem insignificant, but across a community, team members make hundreds of observations every day that, when connected with other information about the resident, can reveal meaningful insights about the resident's wellness. The goal of this partnership is to turn those everyday observations into actionable intelligence that informs service coordination and helps the right people respond sooner, shifting care from reactive to preventive. "We chose PointClickCare because they share our vision for where the next generation of senior housing is headed and are deeply committed to building that future with us," said Fee Stubblefield, Founder and CEO of The Springs Living. "Our communities are where we learn what works, helping define how healthcare and housing come together to support older adults in living well through value-based care." Built With, Not Built For This partnership brings together two organizations with aligned missions: PointClickCare's mission to help every provider deliver exceptional care and The Springs Living's mission to innovate the way people think, feel and experience senior living. This is a co-development, not a traditional implementation. Rather than developing at a distance and bringing the technology into communities once complete, PointClickCare will work directly alongside The Springs Living teams where the technology will ultimately be used. The teams will start with the challenge: how do we make healthcare more seamless? Technology will then be built around the answer to that question, informed by how life and work happen inside The Springs Living communities. The work draws on PointClickCare's network of acute and post-acute care data, the largest in the industry, to inform the AI and analytics capabilities the teams develop together. "True value-based care can't be built in isolation," said Dave Wessinger, co-founder and CEO of PointClickCare. "It has to be shaped by the people delivering it, which is exactly why we chose to build this way. The Springs Living looked at where this industry is going and decided they needed a technology partner investing in AI for senior living at a scale this market hasn't seen before, not a vendor adding a feature. So, we put our own teams inside their communities. We're building a new way for care teams to work and share insights beyond the clinical elements that help manage a resident's holistic wellbeing. The result isn't just a more efficient business. We believe it's a fundamentally different way to run one." What Happens Next PointClickCare and The Springs Living will roll out PointClickCare's EHR for Senior Living across several of The Springs Living Oregon communities participating in the value-based care model, with implementation planned before the end of the year. The teams will also launch Community Advisor, adding an intelligence layer that analyzes documentation from caregivers, wellness nurses, and medication technicians to identify meaningful changes and help inform action. When a change is detected, that intelligence can help connect The Springs Living team with its healthcare partners so they can coordinate services and respond sooner in the resident's home. The goal is not to add another task for frontline teams, but to make the information they already capture work smarter, reducing administrative burden and giving them more time to focus on residents. Looking Ahead Back at breakfast, the team member who noticed a resident was quieter than usual won't have to wonder whether anyone else noticed. Because they logged their observation, and a minor change in mobility was previously flagged by a wellness nurse, the technology instantly flags a potential early-stage issue. With frontline insight and PointClickCare technology working together, a small observation doesn't get lost; it becomes the key to keeping a resident healthy and safe. What the two organizations develop together in these communities is designed to extend beyond The Springs Living, with technology that is sophisticated behind the scenes. For residents and families, that means changes noticed sooner, care that comes to them, and peace of mind in the place they call home. About The Springs Living Based in Portland, Oregon, The Springs Living serves older adults in Oregon, Montana, and Washington. Each community represents a unique combination of design, amenities, and services, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Since its founding in 1996, the organization has been committed to delivering quality service and fostering an enrichment culture to help older adults live life to its fullest. Celebrating 30 years, The Springs Living continues to invest in its people, creating meaningful career opportunities across its growing organization, including healthcare, benefits, capital investment and technology. The organization is also advancing a new model that brings healthcare and senior living together through its partnership with SCAN Health Plan and expanding its investment and development capabilities through Koda Ridge Capital, its real estate investment affiliate. About PointClickCare PointClickCare is a leading health tech company with one simple mission: to help providers deliver exceptional care. Prophix FP&A connects to PointClickCare data.

Prophix FP&A connects to PointClickCare data. Prophix announces the integration of PointClickCare with Prophix One to directly leverage operational data from healthcare and senior living facilities. Resident census, movements, services, level of care, hours worked and occupancy can thereby feed budgets, forecasts and financial scenarios, while reducing manual reconciliations. Prophix announces a new integration with PointClickCare, a technology platform dedicated in particular to healthcare facilities and the senior living sector. Available through the PointClickCare marketplace, this connection enables Prophix One to directly leverage certain operational data to support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes. For finance departments in the sector, the challenge is a practical one. The information used to build budgets and forecasts often comes from multiple systems: financial management software, electronic medical records, payroll tools and operational applications. When these environments have difficulty communicating with one another, teams still have to rely on manual exports and Excel files to reconcile the data. Reducing the gap between operations and finance. In senior living, financial decisions depend heavily on operational data that can change rapidly. The number of residents, admissions and discharges, levels of care, hours worked and occupancy rates can all have a direct impact on revenue and costs. Until now, this information could require several steps before being incorporated into financial models. This process increases the risk of errors and, above all, can delay analysis. For finance leaders, data that becomes available several days after an operational change may therefore lose some of its value for decision-making. The integration announced by Prophix is specifically intended to reduce this gap. Data from PointClickCare can be transferred directly to Prophix One, where it can then be used in budgeting, forecasting and planning processes. Operational data serving FP&A. The connection makes it possible to take into account information related in particular to resident census, admissions and discharges, service usage, level of care acuity and working hours by unit and department. This information can then be incorporated into financial models. Census data, for example, can contribute to revenue forecasts, while working hours can feed personnel cost models. Occupancy rates can also serve as variables in various financial scenarios. The value therefore lies not only in the automatic flow of data. It lies above all in enabling finance teams to more easily reconcile what is happening in the field with what is incorporated into financial models. A particularly important issue for senior living. The sector faces several factors that can quickly alter its financial balance: changes in occupancy, changes in resident profiles, pressure on labor costs and changes in funding mechanisms. In this context, finance departments need models capable of incorporating operational changes more quickly. Planning fueled by more recent data can facilitate the identification of variances and the development of different scenarios. Prophix therefore positions this integration as a way to provide finance leaders with greater visibility, while reducing the manual tasks associated with collecting and reconciling data. Toward more connected financial planning. Beyond the partnership between two platforms, this announcement illustrates a broader evolution in FP&A: the desire to bring financial data closer to the operational data that truly explains an organization's performance. For senior living facilities, the Prophix PointClickCare integration should therefore help limit intermediate data handling and build budgets, forecasts and analyses from directly usable operational information. These senior living and care providers drive innovation in AI, EHR integration, safety.

These senior living and care providers drive innovation in AI, EHR integration, safety. September 21, 2026 Improved workforce communication, predictive analytics and successful falls prevention programs are starring features in the first flight of Gold medalists from the 2026 McKnight's Excellence in Technology Awards being highlighted here. They include innovative winners in the 16th annual program's following categories: Building Bridges, Creative Use of AI, Electronic Health Records Integration, Emerging Technology, and Falls Prevention, Management or Detection. Across all categories of the contest, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were bestowed Sept. 16 as determined by an independent panel of 24 long-term care stakeholders. Tech Award finalists had been announced in early August. Building Bridges. Hucu.ai and MD for Seniors took the top prize in the Building Bridges category, which recognizes the use of technology to improve connections between staff members, care providers or residents/patients and their families, for an entry titled "Responsive MD collaboration across communities." The two organizations partnered to replace fragmented communication and legacy platforms that it believed were hindering care. Facing lost resident and patient context and compliance risks, MD for Seniors sought a secure, mobile-first, person-specific coordination model. The entrants said the project resulted in enhanced decision-making, care continuity and communication reliability. Providers reclaimed approximately 10 clinical hours daily by eliminating phone tag, and secure photo-sharing improved transfer accuracy. Also, resident and patient-specific channels preserved historical context despite staff turnover, transforming daily communication from an operational burden into a reliable, HIPAA-compliant bridge for care coordination. * Silver: "Connecting care teams with intelligent hiring," Viventium + Apploi and Saber Healthcare Group * Bronze: "Documenting care gaps before the survey," Medical Service Company and Gabby Health * Finalists: "Level of care model," EmpowerMe Wellness and Arrow Senior Living; "Bridging care gaps through data exchange," MatrixCare and Nazareth Home; and "How's Mom enhances care, operations and resident satisfaction," How's Mom and TLC Management Creative Use of AI. Zemplee, United Health of Kansas, the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services and Windsor Place Telehealth captured Gold for their entry, "Nursing homes without walls: Attentive AI keeps seniors home," in the first year of the competition to offer this category. It celebrates how particularly creative uses of artificial intelligence were incorporated into products or services that made a significant difference for senior living and care operators. To help medically fragile older adults age safely at home, Windsor Place deployed Zemplee's passive, AI-enabled ambient sensing and remote monitoring across 110 participants. By learning individualized daily baselines to detect subtle health declines before crises occurred, the pilot test achieved a 54% reduction in skilled nursing bed-days. In addition, participant depression scores dropped 45%, loneliness fell 29%, and 95% opted to keep the technology after the test. The project showed that AI-enabled continuous monitoring can be rapidly deployed, scaled and sustained for medically complex older adults while reducing the use of institutions and supporting independent living. * Silver: "Zero falls with AI: A new benchmark in care," Helpany and United Zion Retirement Community * Bronze: "Retention Radar - Redefining retention with AI-powered insights," LCS * Finalists: "Ryan: AI wellness companionbot for senior care," DreamFace Technologies, Eaton Senior Communities, St. Francis Health Services and Browns Valley Health Center; "AI powered voice chat bot reduces anxiety, depression," RiverSpring Living and Meela.ai; and "Transforming home health wound care with AI innovation," Swift Medical and VNS Health Electronic Health Records Integration. Parasol Alliance, PointClickCare and Mary's Woods won the top prize in this category, which recognizes stakeholders who have worked together to play a pivotal role in helping communities and/or agencies via electronic health records, thereby streamlining resident/patient information management. Their entry was titled "A partnership for transformation." It details how Mary's Woods, a senior living community in Lake Oswego, OR, wanted to make a move and transition to the PointClickCare platform. Among the provider's goals: improve clinical workflows and reduce administrative burden on caregivers. To make the switch, the organization partnered with Parasol Alliance, a firm with strategy and technology expertise.
