TSC is seeking a Director of Quality to join our growing employee-owned company. This role will lead the quality organization across all TSC divisions, establishing and implementing a corporate quality program that defines operational standards for each site. The program will set minimum requirements, enabling each site to customize their quality processes to align with corporate strategy while addressing their unique operational needs. The Director of Quality will work to ensure all sites maintain certified quality systems tailored to their specific requirements, with an emphasis on achieving and sustaining AS9100 compliance wherever applicable.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Quality management
- Lead the quality management team across multiple divisions
- Provide clear direction and goals for the quality organization
- Drive continuous improvement at all sites
- Develop and maintain a corporate quality system that sets the minimum standards for quality across the organization while allowing sites to develop their processes to meet their individual needs
- Develop and maintain a corporate risk register in conjunction with the divisions
- Continually evaluate risks helping the leadership team to prioritize and adjust continuously the business to minimize overall business risks.
- Work to have all divisions and sites to maintain an approved quality system with the goal of maintaining AS9100
- Support Corporate Quality with Lessons Learned and Audit requirements as needed.
- Work with the other organizations to drive improvement within their processes.
Customer Quality
- Lead in managing the quality relationships with major customers
- Ensure clear and timely communication of customer concerns and audits
- Work with cross functional teams to apply product quality standards, customer specifications and industry standards and develop testing and evaluation techniques to ensure material quality is to customers’ expectations and requirements.
Supplier Quality
- Develop a corporate supplier quality plan
- In connection with the divisions, define requirements for suppliers such that we meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Ensure continuous improvement across the supplier base including supplier audits and supplier evaluation.
- Actively work with the procurement teams and development teams to develop and qualify new suppliers to meet our needs and requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Reliability), Physics, or equivalent, with 10+ years of industry experience in quality management.
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance as needed.
- Proven experience in Government/Commercial quality operations and multi-site/division leadership.
- Strong leadership skills in team development and management, including creating quality processes for diverse divisions.
- Expertise in ISO 9001 and AS9100 systems, including implementation, certification, and audits.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of building cross-functional, multi-cultural relationships across organizational levels.
- Demonstrated technical competence and ability to manage multiple tasks in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA preferred, with expertise in manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical systems, including mechatronics, controls, software, and electronics.
- Experience in innovative technology environments and global operations is advantageous.
- Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills to manage challenging personalities and drive organizational actions.
- Proven ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and a demonstrated commitment to achieving objectives.

If performed in Colorado, in compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA), TSC is disclosing the possible salary range for this role. The anticipated salary range for this position is $131,000 - 172,000 with the opportunity for an annual bonus.
