Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, such as accounting, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • Two years supervisory/management experience and ten years specialized experience in commercial or government contracting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Competencies Required: Leadership, Oral and Written Communication, Government Contracting, Negotiation, Research and Analysis, Contracts.
  • Other Requirements: advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Issuance of Requests for Proposals, receipt of proposals, proposal evaluation documentation, and contract awards.
  • Preparation of contract modifications and maintenance of contract files in the Government Agency's electronic filing system.
  • Timely processing and tracking of contract administration-related actions and contract close-out functions.
  • Support for requirements as a Contract Specialist spanning all phases of the acquisition life-cycle, including acquisition planning, market research, and source list development for formal and informal source selection processes.
  • Act as central point of contact with the Government for the uniform, equipment, and laundry services at a federal training academy.
