Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in software, data, platform, or related engineering disciplines in enterprise-scale technology environments.
  • At least 7 years of engineering leadership experience leading leaders and multidisciplinary engineering teams through multiple layers of management.
  • Experience leading software engineering, data engineering, integration and interoperability, and cloud or platform capabilities within a unified engineering organization.
  • Proven success delivering complex technology programs and modernizing platforms while maintaining security, quality, reliability, and operational stability.
  • Deep understanding of modern software architecture, application programming interfaces, distributed systems, cloud platforms, DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated testing, and production operations.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the enterprise engineering strategy and multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business, clinical, data, and product priorities.
  • Lead Data Engineering, Integration Engineering, platform, and architecture functions with clear accountability across the engineering organization.
  • Lead the Software Engineering team in creating artificial intelligence and data products.
  • Lead and develop engineering directors, managers, architects, and technical leaders; strengthen succession planning, career paths, and leadership capability.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into executable engineering plans, investments, and delivery commitments.
  • Own engineering execution across product and platform portfolios, improving delivery predictability, quality, scalability, reliability, and time to value.
  • Establish engineering standards for architecture, software development, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, security, and production support.
  • Drive cloud-native engineering practices including application programming interfaces, microservices, DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated testing, and site reliability practices.
  • Provide executive leadership for enterprise data engineering and data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence and machine learning, interoperability, and operational workloads.
  • Lead enterprise integration and interoperability strategy across electronic health records, practice management systems, third-party platforms, application programming interfaces, Health Level Seven, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, and related standards.
  • Establish engineering key performance indicators and operating metrics for quality, reliability, delivery performance, technical health, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead engineering investment planning, vendor strategy, and resource allocation while balancing innovation, cost, and operational performance.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, risks, dependencies, and investment needs to executives and cross-functional stakeholders while building an inclusive, accountable, high-performing engineering culture.
  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent automation, aligning initiatives with business objectives and product strategy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and drive adoption of artificial intelligence technologies to improve software development, operational efficiency, clinical workflows, and customer experiences.
  • Establish governance, security, and responsible artificial intelligence practices to ensure compliant, ethical, and scalable implementation of artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Analytics leadership to deliver artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities leveraging enterprise data assets.
  • Champion the use of artificial intelligence-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity, software quality, and delivery velocity.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive the mission of improving the lives of people living with cancer.
  • Define and execute an enterprise technology strategy aligned with business objectives, balancing innovation, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Champion emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and intelligent automation, to accelerate innovation, improve engineering effectiveness, and deliver business value.
  • Lead enterprise modernization initiatives that enhance technology platforms, engineering practices, and organizational capabilities.
  • Build high-performing engineering organizations by leading through leaders, developing talent, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply sound technical judgment across software, data, integrations, cloud platforms, and architecture while driving disciplined execution across complex engineering portfolios.
  • Communicate technical strategy effectively to executive, business, and technical stakeholders, building cross-functional partnerships and organizational alignment.
  • Lead change that advances the organization's patient-centered mission while delivering technology solutions.

  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence-assisted software development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, artificial intelligence code review, automated testing, or developer productivity platforms.

Cencora raises fiscal 2026 guidance after completing OneOncology acquisition

Cencora reported 12% adjusted operating income growth and 9% adjusted diluted EPS growth in its fiscal 2026 first quarter, driven by its US healthcare solutions business. The company raised its full-year guidance to reflect year-over-year adjusted operating income growth of 11.5% to 13.5%. CEO Robert Mauch announced the completion of Cencora's acquisition of the majority remaining equity interest in OneOncology. The deal strengthens Cencora's specialty pharmaceutical leadership and MSO (management services organisation) platform. Cencora to acquire OneOncology for $3.6B, raising long-term EPS guidance to 10-14%

Cencora has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the majority stake it doesn't own in OneOncology, a physician-led oncology management services organisation, from TPG. The transaction values OneOncology's enterprise at $7.4 billion, with Cencora paying approximately $5 billion in total cash consideration, including debt retirement. OneOncology has grown substantially since Cencora's initial investment, attracting leading practices through its physician-led approach. The acquisition will strengthen Cencora's specialty solutions and enhance patient access to pharmaceuticals across communities. The deal is expected to close by the end of Cencora's fiscal 2026 second quarter, subject to regulatory approvals.
