About the Job

Requirements

  • Comfort working with the UNIX/Linux command line, querying databases using SQL, reading logs, and navigating file systems, schedulers, and storage.
  • Exposure to scripting using Bash, Python, or a similar language, with judgment about when scripting is appropriate versus using a runbook.
  • Ability to execute daily operational workflows at volume and follow procedures precisely.

  • Author and improve runbooks using existing data-management workflow standards, converting recurring ad-hoc fixes into clear, repeatable procedures that reduce operational risk and increase throughput.
  • Mine data to identify patterns, support root-cause analysis, validate data, and reveal trends across large volumes.
  • Apply predefined acceptance and quality criteria to ensure the integrity of financial datasets.
  • Collaborate with business partners, software engineers, data analysts, and data operations specialists to understand and improve business processes.
  • Recommend and improve data-management policies and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Desired Qualifications

  • One to five years of experience.
  • Professional experience in data operations, technical operations, or a similar discipline, such as data operations analysis, systems or support engineering, data analysis, process engineering, systems administration, quality assurance, defense analysis, logistics, or maintenance technician work involving step-by-step procedures, data, and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience performing data-management and data-quality tasks in data-intensive environments.
  • Desire to grow knowledge of finance and trading.
