Psychometrist 2 - HOPD Biggs Brain Health

Administers and scores neuropsychological and psychological tests under the supervision of a clinical psychologist or clinical neuropsychologist.

• Experience in neuropsychological testing, including training and knowledge of measures of intelligence (WAIS-IV), memory, language, sensory-motor, visuo-spatial skills, and executive functions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a patients.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree and 3 years of testing experience.

Master’s degree in psychology or related field may be considered in lieu of 2 years testing experience.

• Administers a broad spectrum of psychometric assessments to include individually administered psychological and neuropsychological test batteries and digital assessments under the general supervision of a psychologist or neuropsychologist.
• Evaluates and responds to the patient's needs during evaluation; manages patient behavior and controls testing environment to ensure accuracy of results.
• Provides thorough documentation of observation of patient's behavior during testing. Consults with supervising psychologist/neuropsychologist regarding unusual aspects of patient's condition or behavior which might indicate a change in tests ordered.
• Scores psychological and neuropsychological tests according to normative standards by using test manuals and computer scoring programs.
• Records and compiles a summary of data and test results; prepares standard reports.
• Consents patients for inclusion in research and/or assists with data entry or other research-related tasks.
• Attends to routine administrative details relating to operation of a psychological/neuropsychological clinic/laboratory.
• Assists in teaching trainees the proper methods of administration and scoring and how to record observations and respond to patients' behavior during testing sessions.
• Participates in consultations with other psychometrists and/or constructing or setting up psychological instrumentation.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
