Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in live events, hospitality, venue operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and solve problems.
  • Professional, calm, and solutions-oriented demeanor.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation, as offsite support may be required.
  • Ability to work in and around a theatrical performance environment, walk to multiple buildings on campus, use manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, stand or walk for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as on-site lead support for event setup, execution, and strike.
  • Open and close events in alignment with Texas Performing Arts standards and protocols.
  • Act as the primary on-the-ground contact during assigned shifts.
  • Execute event logistics, including deliveries, room setups, and transitions.
  • Support backstage hospitality needs, including dressing rooms, green rooms, and catering coordination.
  • Ensure spaces are clean, stocked, and aligned with artist expectations and riders.
  • Serve as a professional and welcoming presence for touring artists, crews, and VIPs.
  • Coordinate and complete runs for supplies, meals, and last-minute requests.
  • Troubleshoot real-time needs efficiently and discreetly.
  • Maintain clear communication with Event Managers and cross-functional teams, including Production, Security, and Guest Experience.
  • Act as an extension of the Events team to increase operational capacity during high-volume periods.
  • Execute delegated tasks independently with minimal oversight.
  • Support the overall flow of event operations so Event Managers can prioritize client experience and quality.

  • Strong understanding of backstage operations and/or artist hospitality.
