Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of six months of applicable internship experience in the construction industry or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Must complete an assessment for selection and a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate work, documentation, and correspondence between all project team members.
  • Assist in bid solicitation and estimating functions.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain submittal and request for information logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Document and communicate scope changes and related project impacts to the project team.
  • Coordinate the change proposal, review, and submission process.
  • Participate in required construction meetings with personnel, subcontractors, designers, and owners.
  • Plan and prepare detailed project schedules up to three months in advance, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
  • Participate in job shadowing with superintendents and project managers to gain hands-on experience and understand role expectations and required skill sets.
  • Read and interpret project plans, or demonstrate a willingness to learn, to understand scheduled tasks and how they are executed on-site.
  • Perform administrative processes including obtaining permits, meeting contractual obligations, managing submittals, insurance, bonds, billing, closeout documentation, timekeeping, progress reporting, billing and collections, managing subcontracts, processing accounts payable, and handling change orders.
  • Identify and address potential issues related to safety, quality, and site conditions to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Breaking ground on another industrial project with Mapletree in Joliet. Keeley Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 419,520-square-foot industrial facility at 1851 Brandon Road in Joliet, Illinois. The ceremony brought together representatives from Mapletree, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), Architects Plus Design Studio, CAGE, and the Keeley Construction team to mark the beginning of another collaborative project. This development marks Keeley's second project with Mapletree in Joliet. Together, the two industrial facilities represent more than 731,800 square feet currently under construction, highlighting the continued strength of the partnership and Keeley's growing presence in the region's industrial market.
