  • A Master's degree in Engineering or Finance is required.
  • Requires 3–5 years of experience in power pricing, energy trading, portfolio management, market risk, structuring, or quantitative energy analytics gained in the Spanish or Iberian power retail market.
  • Demonstrated ability to price fixed, indexed, dynamic, and time-of-use retail products, including risk premia and margin build-up.
  • Advanced Excel and quantitative modelling skills, including the ability to build, document, and back-test pricing models.
  • Awareness of pricing governance, model documentation, risk limits, and regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and govern power pricing methodologies for the Spanish retail market, including fixed, indexed, dynamic, time-of-use, and optionality-based structures, ensuring pricing calculations are correct for all commodities offered, primarily power and gas where relevant.
  • Price products and commercial options by translating wholesale curves, shape and balancing costs, ancillary-service exposure, forecast uncertainty, and margin targets into practical tariffs; build and maintain pricing models, risk premia, scenarios, and back-tests to support launches and repricing.
  • Manage the portfolio throughout its lifecycle, including demand forecasting, hedging input, open-position monitoring, and margin and P&L attribution; conduct periodic reviews to identify growth, profitability, and rationalisation opportunities.
  • Assess balancing and imbalance exposure and intraday re-forecasting needs to reduce avoidable deviation costs.
  • Coordinate with the trading desk and portfolio management on quotations, fixings, and purchases to ensure error-free execution and protect or increase final margins.
  • Ensure end-to-end pricing accuracy for invoicing, including correct customer information, pricing components, and prices-to-invoice, working across Sales, Finance, Back office, and internal databases.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and profitability; monitor OMIE and intraday dynamics, REE and ESIOS data, balancing, ancillary services, and regulation; translate findings into pricing recommendations and governance materials.
  • Work with data and technology teams to enhance pricing tools and systems, automate workflows, and industrialise pricing logic into dashboards; define pricing controls, documentation, and post-launch monitoring; report on margins, accuracy, and P&L.

MET Group closes oversubscribed $1.3B credit facility for sales and trading

MET Group closed a €1.2 billion credit facility for its sales and trading segment, with the financing transaction significantly oversubscribed. ING Bank coordinated the arrangement, whilst Coöperatieve Rabobank, Natixis CIB, and Société Générale served as lead bookrunners. High market demand allowed the company to expand the facility size by €100 million. The contract includes an option to raise the total limit to €1.8 billion. Japanese bank MUFG joined the syndicate as a new partner. According to MET, the transaction provides financial flexibility for the company's strategy and helps build its supply network around customer needs. Ankur Khera, MET Sales & Trading CFO, said the strong oversubscription reflects continued trust from banking partners and endorses the company's strategy and disciplined growth approach.
