About the Job

Requirements

  • Hands-on data analyst background in payments, fraud, risk, or anti-money laundering, ideally in gaming, iGaming, fintech, or another high-volume digital environment.
  • Strong SQL skills on a cloud data warehouse, with practical experience in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing fraud and abuse patterns in transactional and behavioral data, including understanding the trade-off between fraud capture and friction for genuine players.
  • Ability to run analytical projects from ambiguity to delivery, including scoping questions, building and documenting solutions, and monitoring their impact.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across Operations, Compliance, and senior leadership, including challenging assumptions with data in a remote-team setting.
  • Investigative approach and attention to detail, following up on anomalies to understand their causes.

Responsibilities

  • Own payment performance analytics, analyzing success rates, declines, payment methods, and provider performance to identify improvements that reduce friction and cost.
  • Identify fraud and abuse patterns across transactional and behavioral data, including promo abuse, multi-accounting, chargebacks, and money cycling, and translate findings into actionable rules, thresholds, and segments.
  • Design, back-test, and monitor automated risk decisions, balancing fraud capture against player friction and tracking impact after changes go live.
  • Build dashboards in Looker or Tableau and alerts for business-critical anomalies, such as provider volume drops or risk spikes.
  • Partner with Compliance on anti-money-laundering work by delivering investigation queries, data analysis, and audit-ready reporting.
  • Provide Operations and Customer Service with analytics on review workloads, case outcomes, and player-facing friction.
  • Document data sources, metric definitions, and automation logic to make insights trusted and reusable.

Desired Qualifications

  • Python for deeper analysis, anomaly detection, or modeling.
  • Familiarity with fraud-scoring tools, device or behavioral signals, social casino mechanics, or machine-learning approaches to fraud detection.
