Workday Functional Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to support and enhance our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise across Core HCM, Compensation, Talent & Performance, and Learning modules, with a strong understanding of HR processes, system configuration, and data integrity. This role will work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design, configure, test, and optimize Workday solutions that drive business value and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Workday subject matter expert across HCM, Compensation, Talent & Performance, and Learning modules.

• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into system solutions, and manage implementation or enhancement projects.

• Configure and maintain business processes, reports, and integrations related to Workday modules.

• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and manage resolution through Workday Support or internal teams.

• Support Workday releases by assessing impact, testing new functionality, and training end-users.

• Develop documentation, user guides, and training materials for HR and system users.

• Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend automation or configuration changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3–7 years of experience as a Workday Functional Analyst or Consultant.

• Proven experience with Workday HCM, Compensation, Talent & Performance, and Learning modules.

• Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices.

• Experience with Workday configuration, security, reporting, and business process frameworks.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday certification(s) in one or more relevant modules.

• Experience with Workday integrations and reporting (calculated fields, Workday Studio, EIB).

• Prior experience in a global or enterprise-level Workday implementation or optimization project.

• Familiarity with change management and HR data governance practices.
