Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Two to five years of experience.
  • Ability to solve complex process and equipment issues and execute mid-size projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, including Lean, Theory of Constraints, Total Quality Management, Statistical Process Control, Total Productive Maintenance, 6S, and Kaizen.
  • Required knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab.
  • Ability to maintain high safety requirements and meet local consensus safety standards.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, critical-thinking, data-analysis, project-management, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to adhere to a quality management system.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and plant staff to understand and increase manufacturing capabilities, increase yields, improve process flow, increase productivity, and maximize workforce utilization.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities for complex issues involving processes and associated equipment.
  • Aid technology transfers to meet production requirements.
  • Execute mid-size projects, including documentation, training, and guidance for plant engineering and manufacturing team members.
  • Collaborate with location manufacturing management to deliver yield and process improvements.
  • Install, maintain, analyze, and improve electronic and mechanical equipment to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Use Structured Problem Solving and Process Control System methodologies to resolve complex issues and reduce future variation.
  • Develop expertise in Lean Six Sigma and process methodologies through hands-on training, practical application in projects, and guidance from project leaders or senior colleagues.
  • Perform detailed analysis to support process and manufacturing improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience or background in Ceramics, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Access, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Mastercam knowledge.
  • Six Sigma experience.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
