Requirements
  • Ability to work onsite at our Chicago/NYC office 3x per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably within the data security, cybersecurity, or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling a high-performing BDR or sales team.
  • Strong understanding of the data security landscape and an ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing BDR team.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure team members exceed their targets.
  • Develop career growth plans for team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute effective lead generation strategies that align with company goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design and implement campaigns that drive high-quality leads.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics; adjust strategies as necessary to optimize performance.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the management of the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of leads.
  • Implement and utilize CRM and sales automation tools to track performance and forecast pipeline growth.
  • Ensure adherence to data quality standards and consistent process documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and product teams to provide market feedback and contribute to product positioning and strategy.
  • Align BDR activities with overall company objectives and target market trends, especially in the data security landscape.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to drive growth initiatives and ensure cohesive messaging across departments.
  • Market & Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging data security challenges.
  • Educate the team on data security best practices and value propositions to effectively engage prospects.
