About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, supply chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, supply chain oversight, or equipment delivery on major capital programs, with demonstrated cost account management or earned value management systems experience.
  • Experience on nuclear, energy, defense, or heavy industrial capital projects is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of earned value management systems, earned value metric calculation, estimate-at-completion development, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, contract administration, Supplier Coordination Request review, and procurement change control.
  • Familiarity with integrated master scheduling and milestone governance across complex, multi-year programs.
  • Ability to identify performance trends, assess project impact, and prepare clear, defensible documentation for leadership review.
  • Ability to manage relationships with Supply Chain, Engineering, engineering, procurement, and construction teams, Operations, and project management office counterparts, and drive alignment across organizational boundaries.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience criteria applicable to the role under ANSI/ANS 3.1, including relevant nuclear industry experience where required.
  • Applicants must be able to complete applicable U.S. Government export control reviews; foreign nationals may require export authorization approval.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between the project organization and Supply Chain for assigned equipment packages, monitoring Supply Chain's development and execution of delivery plans against project milestones.
  • Hold Supply Chain accountable to agreed schedules, milestone dates, and reporting cadences; formally request recovery plans when deficiencies are identified and monitor execution until performance is restored.
  • Ensure Supply Chain develops and maintains detailed schedules consistent with project-level milestones in the Integrated Master Control Schedule.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment meetings with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, Operations, and Engineering on behalf of Equipment Delivery Management; flag and drive engagement when alignment gaps exist.
  • Coordinate planning of project integration activities related to Factory Acceptance Testing, Equipment Qualification, commissioning, and system turnover.
  • Escalate unresolved Supply Chain performance issues to leadership with supporting documentation.
  • Manage assigned equipment packages as cost accounts, including budget ownership, cost control, and earned value baseline integrity in compliance with earned value management systems requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and defend the Performance Measurement Baseline for assigned cost accounts; authorize and control budget allocation to Supply Chain.
  • Review supplier monthly reports and validate earned value inputs from Supply Chain; challenge unsupported progress claims and ensure earned value reflects physical completion.
  • Calculate and analyze earned value metrics on the defined reporting cycle; identify cost and schedule performance trends and distinguish transient anomalies from systemic variances requiring corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain the Estimate at Completion for each assigned cost account using earned value performance data, risk-adjusted projections, and remaining work assessments; update on the defined reporting cycle with written justification for revisions.
  • Initiate change control for assigned cost accounts; identify, document, and route required scope, cost, and schedule changes through the approved Project Change Notice process.
  • Lead project impact assessments for project-impacting Supplier Coordination Requests involving deviation, non-conformance, or cost impact; review forecast variances submitted by Supply Chain and prepare recommendations for leadership approval.
  • Ensure approved changes are reflected in the Integrated Master Control Schedule in a timely manner; coordinate with project management office controls to maintain baseline integrity.
  • Identify, document, and track project risks arising from equipment delivery activities, cost performance, and schedule status for assigned packages.
  • Escalate risks that increase overall project risk exposure according to project risk management procedures.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience on nuclear, energy, defense, or heavy industrial capital projects.

About the Company

TerraPower

Develops advanced nuclear reactors and isotopes

TerraPower develops advanced nuclear technologies to provide carbon-free energy and medical isotopes. The company works on next-generation reactors such as the Traveling Wave Reactor, Molten Chloride Fast Reactor, and sodium fast reactor. Its products generate electricity through fission in these next-gen designs, and the medical isotope work involves extracting isotopes like Actinium-225 for cancer treatment via partnerships (e.g., with Radiopharm). TerraPower generates revenue through technology licensing, partnerships, and supply agreements, serving utilities, government agencies, and medical institutions. The company differentiates itself by pursuing a diverse portfolio of reactor technologies and by combining power generation with medical isotope applications, complemented by collaborations and licensing to bring technologies to market. Its goal is to provide scalable, carbon-free energy while addressing medical needs through isotope production and new reactor deployments.
