  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles within the music industry or related entertainment sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
  • Deep understanding of music industry economics, revenue streams, and deal structures
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial software applications
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills and business acumen
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong integrity, ethics, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity
Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the assigned front line label
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in guiding financial operations of the label
  • Oversee marketing financial planning, recording cost tracking & analysis, and overhead cost control
  • Perform deal analysis for new artist signings and recording contract renegotiations
  • Direct and review preparation of management reports covering sales, marketing, A&R spend, artist release p&l, and overhead
  • Interface with Global Finance and auditors for accurate financial reporting and compliance
  • Liaise with Royalty and Joint Venture Accounting for timely rendering of statements
  • Prepare presentations of label performance and key financial metrics for meetings
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments to inform financial decisions
