This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
You will participate in the development and implementation of engineering processes for New Glenn systems. We are seeking an experienced individual with excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and analytics skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will directly support Blue Origin’s success assisting in the planning of the design, production and installation of data acquisition systems and software used to support testing at multiple test sites. The position offers an opportunity to shape the future of how Blue Origin designs, builds and operates its test and launch sites including: requirements development & decomposition, configuration management, inventory tracking, system safety and operational procedures. In addition, the position will be especially focused on the continued improvement and implementation of tools and methodologies.
In this hands-on position, you will work to increase the speed and efficiency of the program by supporting the timely delivery, quality, and transparency of data to support program activity and business systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead data acquisition systems and tool development project
- Design, Implement, and improve engineering and program Lifecyle management policies, procedures, and standards to be used for New Glenn systems.
- Collaborate with Blue Origin enterprise resources on the development and/or overhaul of software tools.
- Create training material, develop rollout plans and provide ongoing support for new and existing ground system design, build and operate processes.
- Improve traceability of Blue Origin wide policies and procedures to ground system specific process documentation. Balance aerospace rigor with development level testing to create efficient solutions.
- Maintain process and training libraries including ongoing training, annual process auditing and concise and accessible documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience data systems or software development efforts
- 5+ years of experience working in a highly regulated environment (automotive, medical device, aerospace, etc.).
- BS in Engineering or related technical field
- Proficient with product lifecycle management (PLM)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with staff at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with export control (EAR/ITAR) regulations
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in or working with data acquisition systems and software development in an Aerospace or advanced technology environment.
- MS in Engineering or related technical field
- Experience with some or all the following tools: Smartsheets, Excel Macros/Queries, AirTable, Tableau, Windchill, JIRA, DOORS Next Generation, and Deltek.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
- Ability to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteria
- Database skills
