Requirements
  • An associate's degree and successful completion of a National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences accredited medical laboratory technician program, or an associate's degree with the specified academic credits and either qualifying military laboratory training or three years of full-time laboratory experience.
  • For Physician Enterprise, an associate's degree in laboratory sciences, including chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, is required.
  • Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology, National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel, American Medical Technologies, Department of Health, Education and Welfare, or another laboratory certifying agency is required.
  • Certification must be received within 180 days of hire, except for colleagues hired before January 1, 2017.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex testing in all major clinical laboratory areas under general supervision.
  • Ensure accurate and valid test results that support diagnosis and treatment.
  • Analyze specimens and prepare detailed reports.
  • Contribute to high-quality laboratory services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in an accredited laboratory.
  • For Physician Enterprise, Medical Laboratory Technician certification is preferred.
