Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience in quality engineering or 10 or more years of manufacturing experience in a Quality function.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or an equivalent quality management system.
  • Experience with configuration management and product life cycles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and a high level of personal computer proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal staff, supplier representatives, customer representatives, and multinational teams.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform the physical requirements, including daily lifting of 35 pounds and prolonged sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and movement.
  • Understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.
  • Understanding of business and management principles.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee quality-related activities for assigned product lines, new development lines, and associated processes.
  • Plan inspections and manage data collection for assigned products.
  • Use inspection and test results, data analysis, customer feedback, key process indicators, internal audit results, and risk analysis tools to identify actual or potential non-conformities.
  • Identify root causes and lead implementation and verification of corrective actions.
  • Interact with customer counterparts to fulfill customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Provide quality manufacturing expertise and methods to facilitate continuous improvement, process improvements, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct problem-solving activities for customer returns, internal non-conformities, audit findings, and process improvements, including data collection, containment, root cause analysis, corrective action development, implementation, and verification.
  • Develop and maintain product inspection plans and train inspectors and team members.
  • Lead new product launch quality activities, including design reviews, production readiness reviews, prototype builds, manufacturing flow charts, PFMEAs, quality control plans, qualification of special processes, vendor selection and approvals, and first article inspection planning.
  • Participate in or conduct internal and external audits, develop audit plans, document results, and determine corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Develop, update, review, and maintain quality manuals, quality control procedures, manufacturing work instructions, and production routers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
