  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8 - 10 years of IT or insurance experience
  • 3 - 5 years of Leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, product/project management, business analysis, quality assurance, or Scrum roles
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Strong Agile, systems development life cycle, and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
  • Owns day-to-day delivery execution for assigned products and initiatives.
  • Facilitates all Scrum ceremonies and ensures effective Agile practices.
  • Partners with Product Owners to refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Identifies and removes delivery impediments and manages dependencies.
  • Directly manages Business Analysts and Quality Analysts.
  • Conducts one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, goal setting, and development planning.
  • Supports hiring, onboarding, training, and skill development.
  • Addresses performance, engagement, and behavioral issues consistently and constructively.
  • Partners with consulting firms to direct day-to-day contractor activities, manage deliverables, and provide ongoing performance feedback to ensure alignment with product goals.
  • Serves as IT representative in business and cross-functional stakeholder meetings.
  • Communicates delivery progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and proactively.
  • Aligns delivery execution with business priorities and enterprise initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to Encova’s SDLC, QA, and Incident Management standards.
  • Mentors team members on requirements and test case best practices.
  • Collaborates with QA leadership to ensure consistent testing rigor.

Encova Insurance Appoints Ramu Lingala As Chief Information Officer

Encova Insurance has named Ramu Lingala as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, succeeding longtime CIO Tony Laska, who will retire at the end of this year.Lingala officially assumed the role on May 1 after joining the company in February to become familiar with its operations and culture.Laska, who has held key leadership roles at BrickStreet, Motorists, and Encova, will remain with the company in an advisory capacity through the end of 2025.“I want to congratulate Tony on a successful career and thank him for his unmatched contributions to BrickStreet, Motorists and now Encova,” said Encova President and CEO TJ Obrokta Jr. “I still remember recruiting him many years ago and the remarkable impact he had during the early years of BrickStreet.
