SEIO 2026 Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

SEIO 2026 Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Marion Technical Writer August 3, 2026 Hexaly is proud to participate as a Diamond Sponsor of SEIO 2026, the XLII National Congress on Statistics, Operations Research and Data Science, organized by the Spanish Society of Statistics and Operations Research (SEIO). The conference will take place September 2-5, 2026, at the University of Santiago de Compostela, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. As one of Spain's leading conferences in operations research, statistics, and data science, it brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals to present the latest advances in optimization, analytics, and decision science. Founded to promote the development and application of statistics and operations research, the Spanish Society of Statistics and Operations Research (SEIO) provides a forum where researchers, academics, and professionals exchange ideas, present innovative research, and discuss real-world applications across academia, government, and industry. The congress serves as a major meeting point for Spain's Operations Research, Statistics, and Data Science communities, while maintaining a strong international outlook. As a Diamond Sponsor, Hexaly looks forward to connecting with the Spanish and international Operations Research community and demonstrating how Hexaly Optimizer extends traditional Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP) to solve large-scale, real-world optimization problems. Meet Hexaly at SEIO 2026. Visit the Hexaly booth and meet Lorenzo Canonne, Ph.D., Optimization Scientist at Hexaly. Whether you work in academia or industry, stop by its booth to discuss your optimization challenges and discover how Hexaly extends traditional Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP). You'll also have the opportunity to discover what's new in Hexaly 15.0, including major performance improvements in routing, scheduling, and packing, as well as advances in nonlinear optimization. Join Lorenzo Canonne for two sessions at the conference: an interactive workshop and a technical presentation. He will share the latest developments in Hexaly 15.0, discuss the technologies powering Hexaly's next-generation optimization solver, and present practical approaches to real-world optimization problems. Hexaly Workshop: Modeling and solving packing problems with Hexaly Lorenzo Canonne, Ph.D., Optimization Scientist, Hexaly Wednesday, September 2, 11:20 - 12:40, Room Aula B Hexaly Optimizer is the next-generation MIP solver integrating exact and heuristic techniques to tackle complex optimization problems. Its modeling formalism relies on nonlinear and set-oriented expressions, allowing users to build compact and expressive models. This approach simplifies modeling while providing structural insight that enables the solver to exploit advanced algorithmic methods and deliver strong performance on routing, scheduling, and packing problems. In this hands-on workshop, Hexaly focus on packing problems and show how Hexaly models naturally capture their structure. Participants will build and solve real-world examples using Hexaly Studio, a web-based environment featuring dashboards, interactive tools, and visualizations, and will gain practical skills to apply it in research and industry. Hexaly, The next-generation MIP solver Lorenzo Canonne, Ph.D., Optimization Scientist, Hexaly Saturday, September 5, 10:00 - 11:20, Room Aula 30 Hexaly Optimizer is the next-generation MIP solver. Its modeling interface is nonlinear and set-oriented. In a sense, Hexaly APIs unify and extend modeling concepts from mixed-linear programming, nonlinear programming, constraint programming, and black-box optimization. Under the hood, Hexaly combines exact and heuristic optimization methods, such as branch-and-bound, automatic Dantzig-Wolfe reformulation, column and row generation, propagation, local search, direct search, and surrogate modeling techniques. Regarding performance benchmarks, Hexaly distinguishes itself from leading solvers such as Gurobi, IBM Cplex, and Google OR Tools by delivering scalable solutions for Routing, Scheduling, Packing, Clustering, and Location problems. This talk introduces its set-based modeling formalism and highlights its scalability for large instances, while explaining how the solver automatically leverages state-of-the-art exact and heuristic techniques. Ready to start? Discover the ease of use and performance of Hexaly through a free 1-month trial, or enjoy free academic access.
