Requirements
  • A Texas Registered Master Electrician-Inspector (RME-I) license is required.
  • Working knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, backflow systems, and basic fire pumps is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot sprinkler, backflow, and fire pump systems is required.
  • Proficiency in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13, 20, and 24 code requirements is required.
  • Ability to use trade-appropriate tools to perform daily pipe-fitting duties efficiently and safely is required.
  • Ability to train others to use trade-appropriate tools efficiently and safely is required.
  • Minimum skills to operate a basic service platform are required.
  • At least two years of experience in a sprinkler service or inspections setting is required.
  • A clear background and successful completion of a hair-follicle test are required.
