Requirements
  • At least 5 years of laboratory support in a composite environment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Create and execute industry standard material allowables testing
  • Conduct quality assurance material testing on Process Verification parts
  • Develop and execute test procedures related to integrated structural verification tests
  • Material cure cycle development
  • Operate or support specialized equipment such as large vacuum ovens, resin transfer systems, furnaces, inspection cameras, CNC router, saw, and water jet
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Develop and execute test procedures and test planes for sub-scale primary structures joints
  • Experience in bonding and materials testing including surface prep, primer application, mixing and applying silicones/epoxies.
  • Experience in machining/trimming composite and metallic materials
  • Order needed materials according to user needs and predetermined budget
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, some weekends
  • Common computer tools – excel, word, and PowerPoint
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform under critical situations
  • Hands on lab work
