Daikin Applied acquires Sorbent Ventilation from enVerid

Daikin Applied acquires Sorbent Ventilation from enVerid. Daikin Applied, part of Daikin Industries, has further extended its ventilation product portfolio with another exclusive license Falls River Group has announced that Daikin Applied has acquired the exclusive license to Sorbent Ventilation Technology from enVerid Systems Inc., an innovator in indoor air quality and energy-efficient HVAC solutions. FRG acted as the exclusive financial advisor to enVerid on this transaction, although the terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "FRG played a critical role throughout the whole process beginning with developing its marketing materials, identifying and engaging targets, and negotiating the final agreement with Daikin Applied. Steve and his team's passion for market-changing technologies, creative deal structuring expertise, and white glove partnership model made FRG the ideal partner for enVerid," said Christian Weeks, CEO of enVerid SVT is the enVerid's leading sorbent-based air-cleaning technology, enabling commercial buildings to achieve high-performance IAQ with significantly reduced energy consumption. Backed by more than a decade of field adoption across commercial, education, and government sectors, the SVT meets all contaminant requirements in ASHRAE Standard 62.1. The transaction gives Daikin Applied the sole right to manufacture, sell, and distribute SVT and related offerings. Daikin Applied says the integration of the SVT into its product portfolio strengthens its commitment to delivering advanced, energy-efficient IAQ technologies that support decarbonisation, sustainability, and improved occupant well-being. "Daikin Applied is an ideal steward for SVT," said Weeks, "their industry reach, product leadership, and commitment to innovation create a powerful platform to scale this technology and broaden its impact. Daikin Applied will reintroduce the technology under its brand in the coming months and will continue supporting existing standalone SVT installations while working toward deeper integration across its product portfolio. The transaction aligns with Daikin Applied's broader sustainability and electrification strategy and expands its position as a leader in next-generation IAQ solutions.

Chilldyne Acquired by Daikin Applied Americas

Chilldyne acquired by Daikin Applied Americas. Daikin Applied Americas has acquired Chilldyne, a leader in negative-pressure liquid-cooling systems for high-performance and AI data centers. This acquisition enhances Daikin Applied's current data center solutions, reinforcing its focus on sustainable, efficient cooling technologies. It also supports the company's goal of providing comprehensive cooling solutions that meet the critical needs of hyperscale and next-generation AI data centers. Chilldyne designs and manufactures negative-pressure, direct-to-chip liquid-cooling systems that improve reliability and energy efficiency. Its patented design prevents leaks and downtime, making it ideal for GPU servers. Since 2014, Chilldyne has deployed scalable liquid-cooled GPU clusters, offering a complete solution from CDU to manifold and cold plate, making it a safer option than positive-pressure systems. Brian Beeler commented on the news, explaining, "At StorageReview, we've spent time with Chilldyne's team and tested their liquid cooling technology firsthand. Their negative-pressure system directly addresses one of the industry's biggest concerns - leaks. By pulling coolant through the system instead of pushing it under pressure, Chilldyne eliminates the risk of leaks damaging expensive GPU servers while maintaining excellent thermal performance. Daikin's acquisition underscores how major infrastructure providers are moving quickly to integrate proven efficiency solutions as AI data centers grow in scale and density." StorageReview has tracked Chilldyne's growth over the past year and published a deep dive into the product, as well as a podcast featuring Steve Harrington. Daikin Applied, part of Daikin Industries, Ltd., designs and manufactures commercial and industrial HVAC systems worldwide. Its technology and services improve comfort, efficiency, and sustainability while ensuring high-quality airflow for occupants. Solutions are provided through a global network of sales, service, and parts offices. Daikin Applied COO Yu Nishiwaki stated that acquiring Chilldyne allows the company to offer advanced data center cooling solutions. Chilldyne's negative-pressure technology delivers cost savings and greater uptime compared to traditional systems, positioning Daikin as a leader in high-performance cooling. Chilldyne's patented liquid-cooling distribution unit (CDU) technology uses a negative-pressure system to provide chip-level cooling while reducing the risk of leaks that plague traditional liquid-cooling solutions. The system safely and effectively removes heat from processors using cold plates, allowing systems to operate the latest GPUs while preventing leaks, lowering costs, and protecting valuable assets. Additionally, Chilldyne's solutions offer several advantages for data-intensive environments, including easier installation, lower hardware costs, and reduced risk of downtime. This technology is particularly well-suited for high-performance computing and AI applications, where high heat loads necessitate liquid cooling. Dr. Steve Harrington, CEO of Chilldyne, believes that joining Daikin Applied will accelerate development of its second-generation liquid-cooling system for global data centers. He emphasizes the system's resilience and its role in promoting liquid cooling in data infrastructure. Daikin Applied's acquisition of Chilldyne represents a crucial step in its broader strategy to create a comprehensive cooling ecosystem for hyperscale data centers. Chilldyne and DDC Solutions, which Daikin Applied acquired in August 2025, provide a strong integration of Chilldyne's liquid-cooling technology with DDC's modular, high-density cooling cabinets. Together, they've enabled efficient, reliable cooling for high-density rack environments, demonstrating seamless integration that is now foundational to Daikin Applied's expanded portfolio. Chilldyne's team, led by Harrington, will join Daikin Applied, enhancing the organization's growing center of excellence focused on advancing data center technologies. By combining Chilldyne's expertise with Daikin Applied's commercialization capabilities, the acquisition showcases Daikin Applied's dedication to delivering innovative and reliable solutions.
