Maintenance Technician
About the job
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing, with the ability to diagnose and resolve problems effectively.
- Ability to work with air-conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems is desirable but not required.
- Basic English proficiency for communication with guests and the international team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety during all maintenance interventions.
- Proactivity and willingness to learn new skills and technologies applied to hotel maintenance.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies outside normal working hours when necessary.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the hotel's facilities and electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and climate-control equipment.
- Diagnose failures and repair breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize service interruptions.
- Supervise and ensure the proper operation of security systems, lighting, and emergency equipment.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and operations teams to ensure all hotel areas are safe, comfortable, and operational.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, inspections, and repairs, ensuring a complete maintenance history.
- Manage the inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials needed for daily maintenance.
- Propose technical improvements and solutions that optimize energy efficiency and facility operation.
- Comply with safety standards and current regulations during all maintenance interventions.
