About the job
- The ability to perform heavy lifting.
- A valid New York State driver's license and the ability to pass any required testing for operating a 12-passenger vehicle.
- Working knowledge of tools and building maintenance.
- Prior building maintenance experience.
- Provide cleaning services and perform indoor and outdoor maintenance.
- Empty all trash and transport it to the dumpster.
- Sweep all hard floors daily and mop them as needed.
- Wash all glass, including doors and panes, and clean surfaces daily as needed.
- Dust and/or wash tables and the kitchen area as needed.
- Clean restroom fixtures, floors, and partitions daily.
- Disinfect restroom floors daily.
- Replace paper supplies and deodorize the restrooms as needed.
- Order janitorial supplies with the permission of the Corps Officers.
- Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
- Vacuum carpets as needed, including offices and the lounge area daily.
- Set up rooms for programs as needed.
- Maintain lights, perform minor repairs, change light bulbs, and paint.
- Remove snow and apply salt as needed.
- Maintain vehicles as needed and as instructed by the Corps Officers.
- Drive to perform pickups as requested.
- Help with heavy lifting as needed.
- Police the outside grounds for trash and keep the exterior clean.
- Maintain the lawn as needed.
