GoDaddy investors face October 20 lead plaintiff deadline after 14% share drop

Robbins LLP has reminded investors of an October 20, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline in a class action against GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY). The suit covers anyone who bought GoDaddy common stock between September 3, 2025 and February 24, 2026. The complaint alleges GoDaddy failed to disclose a heavily discounted promotion, a one-year domain registration at $4.99, which hurt total bookings growth. It says this contradicted the company's claims that its strategy to attract high-intent customers was working. On February 24, 2026, GoDaddy reported fourth-quarter 2025 bookings growth of 5%, and 7% for the full year against a stated 8%. The stock fell from $92.30 to $79.12 the next day, a drop of more than 14%. Robbins LLP represents investors on a contingency fee basis.

GoDaddy faces securities fraud lawsuits over alleged undisclosed $4.99 domain promotions

GoDaddy faces multiple securities class action lawsuits alleging the company misled investors about its go-to-market strategy and undisclosed $4.99 one-year .com domain promotions that allegedly damaged bookings and revenue growth. The legal scrutiny comes as GoDaddy expands its product suite with offerings like Node.js Hosting, part of a push toward developer- and API-led services. The fraud allegations raise questions about GoDaddy's pricing discipline and long-term margin profile. Analysts' revenue projections for 2029 range from $5.9 billion to higher figures assuming improved earnings, but the lawsuits have introduced new governance and disclosure risks. The company's investment narrative depends on its domain and small business customer base supporting steady growth whilst artificial intelligence, bundling, and buybacks enhance earnings. However, legal and reputational costs could now matter more than competitive pressures alone in the near term.

GoDaddy launches Node.js hosting with API for AI coding tools

GoDaddy has launched Node.js Hosting, a web app hosting service with an API designed for AI coding tools. The service allows customers to deploy web apps whether built independently, by freelancers, or using AI tools. Developers and AI coding agents can create, deploy, and manage apps entirely through the GoDaddy API without opening a dashboard. When users upload an app or connect a GitHub repository, a private preview is created. Upon publishing, GoDaddy automatically sets up HTTPS, a content delivery network, and a web application firewall. The API enables programmatic control over the app lifecycle, including creating apps, uploading code, and managing environment secrets. Authentication uses Personal Access Tokens for automated deployment. Users can create up to two private preview apps free without a credit card. A GoDaddy Web Hosting plan is required to publish an app.

AlphaStreet Newsdesk powered by AlphaStreet Intelligence GoDaddy Inc. surged 6.1% on Thursday to $102.28 after the Financial Times reported that the web services company received a takeover offer from the maker of Norton antivirus software. The sharp move higher comes as consolidation activity accelerates in the software infrastructure space, with GoDaddy's $13.7 billion market capitalization putting the domain registration and web hosting giant squarely in play for strategic acquirers. The takeover interest sent shares jumping in heavy trading. Volume reached 783,731 shares as investors digested the prospect of a premium buyout for the Phoenix-based company. The Financial Times report, cited by Benzinga, did not disclose terms of the potential transaction or whether GoDaddy's board is entertaining the offer, but the market reaction suggests investors are pricing in a meaningful acquisition premium. Stocks & Bonds A deal would combine two household names in consumer technology. Norton, known for its cybersecurity products, would gain GoDaddy's massive customer base of small businesses and entrepreneurs managing domain names, websites, and online marketing tools. For GoDaddy, a tie-up could provide access to Norton's security expertise and cross-selling opportunities across millions of users. The strategic rationale appears centered on creating a one-stop shop for small business digital infrastructure and protection. The stock move reflects renewed M&A momentum in the software sector. Technology companies with recurring revenue models and established customer bases have attracted strategic interest as acquirers seek growth assets with predictable cash flows. GoDaddy's position as a leader in domain registration and web services makes it an attractive target for companies looking to expand their small business footprint. What to Watch: Investors should monitor for official statements from either GoDaddy or Norton's parent company regarding the takeover approach, as well as any regulatory filings that could shed light on deal terms or competing bids. Any formal announcement would likely include a significant premium to current levels, making near-term price action dependent on deal progress. INVESTOR ALERT: Pomerantz law Firm reminds investors with losses on their investment in GoDaddy Inc. of class action lawsuit and upcoming deadlines - GDDY.

INVESTOR ALERT: Pomerantz law Firm reminds investors with losses on their investment in GoDaddy Inc. of class action lawsuit and upcoming deadlines - GDDY. September 22, 2026 18:17 ET | Source: Pomerantz LLP NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Pomerantz LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed against GoDaddy Inc. ("GoDaddy" or the "Company") (NYSE: GDDY). Such investors are advised to contact Danielle Peyton at [email protected] or 646-581-9980, (or 888.4-POMLAW), toll-free, Ext. 7980. Those who inquire by e-mail are encouraged to include their mailing address, telephone number, and the number of shares purchased. The class action concerns whether GoDaddy and certain of its officers and/or directors have engaged in securities fraud or other unlawful business practices. You have until October 20, 2026, to ask the Court to appoint you as Lead Plaintiff for the class if you purchased or otherwise acquired GoDaddy securities during the Class Period. A copy of the Complaint can be obtained at www.pomerantzlaw.com. On February 24, 2026, GoDaddy reported its fourth quarter and full year 2025 financial results. In a press release, the Company disclosed that total bookings growth had sharply decelerated to 5% during the fourth quarter of 2025, down from 9% the previous quarter and missing analyst estimates of 7%. During the associated earnings call with analysts and investors, Chief Executive Officer Aman Bhutani mentioned for the first time to investors that the Company had "expanded [its] go-to-market approach with a streamlined purchase experience for new domain customers." Bhutani further revealed that the Company "introduced a promotional price for dotcom domains with a one-year term" which resulted in reduced upfront bookings. On that same call, Chief Financial Officer Mark McCaffrey admitted that the annual terms of the heavily adopted one-year promotional contracts impacted the Company's bookings. Specifically, McCaffrey admitted that there was "a reduction in our average order size of initiation related to the discount," noting that the Company believed the heavy adoption of the lower-cost, one-year promotional contracts would have a "major impact" at the end of 2025 going into the first quarter of 2026. On this news, GoDaddy's stock price fell $13.18 per share, or 14.28%, to close at $79.12 per share on February 25, 2026. Pomerantz LLP, with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv, is acknowledged as one of the premier firms in the areas of corporate, securities, and antitrust class litigation. Founded by the late Abraham L. Pomerantz, known as the dean of the class action bar, Pomerantz pioneered the field of securities class actions. Today, more than 85 years later, Pomerantz continues in the tradition he established, fighting for the rights of the victims of securities fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, and corporate misconduct. The Firm has recovered numerous multimillion-dollar damages awards on behalf of class members. See www.pomlaw.com. Attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee similar outcomes.
