  • At least 1 year of experience implementing or operating Apache Kafka, preferably Confluent Kafka.
  • Experience supporting highly available, business-critical platforms as part of a platform, middleware, infrastructure, or site-reliability team.
  • Experience with Linux or Unix and cloud infrastructure in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, enterprise messaging, resiliency, networking, security, and performance management.

  • Develop platform automation, observability, alerting, operational tooling, and technical documentation.
  • Facilitate platform onboarding through standards, documentation, consultation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and improvements to platform reliability, security, performance, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Take ownership of assigned platform capabilities while collaborating with architects, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, incident response, or an on-call rotation as production responsibilities require.

Desired Qualifications

  • Multi-cloud experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, configuration management, or CI/CD is preferred.
  • Experience applying Domain-Driven Design principles to events, integrations, or service boundaries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Temporal, MuleSoft, enterprise API platforms, or workflow orchestration is preferred.
