Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • A certificate of completion from a radiologic technologist training program accredited by an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
  • Advanced certification in Computed Tomography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulders during the work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance.
  • Ability to push or pull with 30 pounds of force.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and advanced computed tomography examinations, including angiography and specialized studies.
  • Operate computed tomography scanners and post-processing equipment.
  • Assist with biopsies, drainages, localizations, and invasive procedures.
  • Administer contrast and perform venipuncture.
  • Monitor patients, vital signs, and emergency equipment.
  • Review requests and independently perform complex computed tomography procedures.
  • Archive and process images through a picture archiving and communication system.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of clinical experience in computed tomography imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting.
  • Previous experience with Siemens equipment.
