Second Sherwin-Williams paint store opens in West Seattle, transforming former auto shop space.

Second Sherwin-Williams paint store opens in West Seattle, transforming former auto shop space. Now open at 4457 Fauntleroy Way SW the second Sherwin Williams location in West Seattle even offers Free Delivery. Sat, 07/11/2026 The West Seattle peninsula has gained a major new retail option for home improvement and commercial construction. Following an extensive property renovation, Sherwin-Williams has officially opened its newest storefront along the busy Fauntleroy corridor at 4457 Fauntleroy Way SW. The new retail location breathes fresh life into a highly visible neighborhood property that has stood vacant for years. The automotive repair bays of the former Midas shop, which closed in 2019, have been thoroughly stripped, retrofitted, and converted into a bright, modern paint showroom and mixing facility. [ new location details] address: 4457 Fauntleroy Way SW hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (weekdays) 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (saturdays) 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (sundays). The addition provides a significant logistical benefit for local DIY homeowners, interior designers, and professional contractors working on the western side of the hills. While the company has operated a branch on Delridge Way SW for more than a decade, cutting across the peninsula during peak traffic hours has often been a bottleneck for residents in the neighborhood's western commercial districts. The new Fauntleroy storefront eliminates that crosstown trip, providing full retail and trade services right on the main thoroughfare into the area. Products and capabilities. The newly completed branch is fully stocked to support large-scale renovations, residential updates, and commercial builds. Available resources include: * Advanced Color Matching: Precision digital scanning to accurately match existing paint flakes, fabrics, or competitive color palettes. * Full Product Inventory: Comprehensive access to interior and exterior paint lines, architectural coatings, and specialized wood stains. * Contractor Support: Dedicated commercial fulfillment, bulk order staging, and technical product assistance for area trade professionals. Construction and interior setup wrapped up ahead of initial timelines, allowing the storefront to open its doors and begin mixing paint just in time for the peak summer painting and home renovation season.

Now you can add to the list... paint. More than a decade after a built-from-scratch Sherwin-Williams store opened in Delridge, the paint chain has opened its second West Seattle store in the former Midas space at 4457 Fauntleroy. Thanks to Ian for the tip; though they had told us two months ago that they were aiming for a fall opening, things apparently moved faster.
