About the company

Pan American Grain makes and distributes food and agricultural supplies for local consumers and farmers in Puerto Rico and export markets. It processes imported grain into rice, flour and animal feed, and its brands include Arroz Rico and Cafe Mami. The business also produces beverages and supplies fertilizer, combining port facilities, mills and warehouses to move raw materials into finished products. It earns money from selling its own packaged goods and agricultural products, alongside distributing imported wines and spirits to expand the range of products it sells. Founded in 1977, Pan American Grain is headquartered in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

What believers are saying

  • Holiday support accompanies electrical work: the full-time Guaynabo Electricista role lists medical coverage, leave and a Christmas bonus.
  • Arecibo buyers get retirement support: the full-time Buyer role advertises a 401(k) plan alongside medical coverage.
  • Sales extend beyond crops: the fertilizer division sells garden tools, lawn-care supplies and pet hygiene products.

What critics are saying

  • Long weekends: the full-time Bayamon production role requires Saturday-Sunday 7am-7pm availability; remaining hours follow weekday availability.
  • Benefits follow probation: Bayamon's production job is full-time; medical, leave and Christmas benefits begin after the company's probation period.
  • Supply prices need constant attention: the Arecibo Buyer tracks costs and availability, resolves invoice discrepancies, and works full-time.

What makes Pan American Grain unique

  • Storage has scale: Pan American Grain's Guaynabo grain elevator was built with 11 silos and 55,000 tonnes of capacity.
  • Arroz Rico has formal standards: Pan American Grain reports SQF certifications covering food safety and quality.
  • Fertilizer has distinct formulations: Pan American Fertilizer sells soluble Nurish and granular Green Crop under its own brands.
