About the job
- Must be able to work and communicate well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to work in cold or hot temperatures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Check with the lead person at the beginning of the shift to determine the production schedule.
- Set up and maintain wire drawing machines according to the production schedule and quality standards, making minor adjustments as necessary.
- Load rod coils onto drawing machine payoffs.
- Operate the machine to produce a finished product.
- Perform quality inspections regularly throughout the shift.
- Generate inventory-related paperwork at the end of each run.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain good safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Manufacturing machine experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of wire drawing operation is preferred.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
