  • Lead or support buy-side and sell-side cyber due diligence, evaluating identity and access management and privileged access management maturity, privileged-access exposures, platform and operational risks, regulatory considerations, deal dependencies, costs, and value-creation opportunities.
  • Support post-deal cyber and identity and access management integration, carve-out, and separation, including Day 1 planning, user and privileged-account migration, access continuity, privileged access management platform transition, and target-state architecture.
  • Define privileged access management operating models and governance, including ownership, risk-tiering, onboarding, access approvals, credential rotation, session review, emergency access, exceptions, control monitoring, service management, and reporting.
  • Provide architecture assurance for privileged access management and wider identity and access management programs by reviewing designs, integrations, migration approaches, controls, and operational readiness, and helping resolve material risks and exceptions.
  • Manage engagement scope, teams, quality, timelines, risks, and economics while coaching team members and maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Contribute to proposals, market pursuits, thought leadership, new services, and reusable methods that strengthen the Strategy & Execution cybersecurity practice.
  • Lead privileged access management discovery and design workshops, complex architecture reviews, and design authorities; reconcile IT and OT security, operational, control, and delivery priorities; and build stakeholder alignment across security, infrastructure, cloud, application, DevOps, and operations teams.
  • Lead meetings with senior client stakeholders to advise, shape, and drive strategy and planning for pre-deal diligence, integration, carve-out or separation, and operational restructuring.
  • Support practice development initiatives and contribute to maintaining the team as a good place to work.

US oil producers hit record output as capital spending drops 49% and reserve replacement falls

An Ernst & Young study found US oil and gas producers reached record production in 2025 while becoming more selective with investments. Total capital expenditures fell 49% year over year, whilst M&A spending declined 70%. Exploration spending dropped 11% to $4.8 billion, representing only 3% of total capital expenditures. EY commits $100M to bonuses rewarding human skills alongside AI adoption

Ernst & Young's US division is allocating $100 million this fiscal year to bonus payments rewarding employees who demonstrate adaptability, innovation, and judgement. Individual spot awards reach $500, whilst employees or teams making significant contributions can receive between $10,000 and $25,000, five times the previous programme's ceiling. The initiative also covers AI experimentation. "What we recognise signals what we value," said Ginnie Carlier, chief talent and culture officer for EY Americas. The bonuses form part of a broader strategy to reshape employee development across all career levels. Other professional services firms are pursuing similar approaches. KPMG restructured its audit internship this summer to emphasise critical thinking, whilst PwC US introduced training combining AI proficiency with human qualities like empathy. EY reported AI-related revenue grew 30% year-over-year in 2025.
