About the job
- At least 15 years of senior operating or financial leadership experience with direct turnaround or restructuring accountability.
- Multiple completed distressed engagements; this is not a first turnaround.
- Deep liquidity management capability under genuine constraint.
- Experience negotiating with lenders across forbearance, amendments, and refinancing.
- Manufacturing operations literacy sufficient to evaluate whether a plant should remain open.
- Judgment and steadiness to lead discussions when stakeholders are losing confidence.
- Manage immediate liquidity and conserve cash.
- Use a 13-week cash flow as the primary operating instrument.
- Negotiate and communicate with lenders, creditors, and stakeholders.
- Analyze product-line and customer profitability and make resulting divestiture or exit decisions.
- Reduce the cost structure, including headcount and footprint actions.
- Negotiate debt restructurings, forbearance agreements, and amendments.
- Develop contingency plans, including a 363 sale or Chapter 11 preparation where applicable.
- Report to the board, sponsors, and lenders under high scrutiny.
- CTP, CIRA, or an equivalent credential.
- Chapter 11 experience.
- Carve-out or asset-sale execution experience.
- Concentration in industrial and manufacturing sectors.
