About the job
- A Master I or II in HSE, QHSES, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Significant experience in an HSE role is required, ideally in a maritime, offshore, or Oil & Gas environment.
- A solid knowledge of HSE standards, indicators, and methods is required.
- Good knowledge of maritime and Oil & Gas standards, including ISM and ISPS, is required.
- Experience in team management and facilitating work groups is required.
- Strong analytical skills, rigor, and adaptability are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence facilitating meetings are required.
- Very good written and spoken French and English are required.
- Good command of office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI, is required.
- Availability for travel aboard ships and to shore-based teams, including internationally, is required.
- Contribute to developing and updating HSE standards, monitor compliance, and manage performance indicators.
- Participate in defining the annual HSE plan and activity objectives.
- Act as the HSE point of contact for clients, communicate their requirements, and track related actions and reporting.
- Deploy HSE campaigns, tools, and initiatives to shore-based teams and ship crews.
- Prepare and consolidate HSE reporting and statistics for the assigned scope.
- Visit ships and shore-based teams and facilities, including internationally.
- Participate in preparing and monitoring the HSE budget for the assigned scope.
- Contribute to incident investigations, analyze causes, and track corrective actions through closure.
- Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and support the HSE Coordinators and Officers within the assigned scope.
- Support crews and management in handling emergencies, crisis cells, and medical cases.
- Develop and deploy HSE communication, training, and awareness activities.
- Work closely with fleet management and operational teams.
- Represent HSE management in committees and external forums when needed.
- Experience with a shipowner is an advantage.
